Meditative aufguss

From RUVARO Sauna Wiki

Meditative aufguss is a quiet, low-stimulation style of Aufguss that uses calm fanning, soft sound, subdued scent and restrained movement to support stillness rather than spectacle. It overlaps with Sauna meditation practice but remains a hosted Sauna ceremony led by a Sauna master, not a clinical meditation treatment. Like other formats it uses staged water or ice applications and active distribution; unlike Themed aufguss or Sauna theatre it minimises narrative and choreography.[1]

Quiet does not mean weak: heat and humidity still load the body and the same safety logic applies.

Conduct

Briefing emphasises silence or near-silence, still seating and free exit. Applications are staged modestly, distribution favours broad, slow Aufguss towel techniques or gentle Aufguss fan techniques over directed blasts, and distribution respects geometry and occupancy without aggressive or face-directed fanning.[2] Aufguss towel, Sauna fan and Aufguss ice ball are used sparingly where the programme includes them; Sauna fragrance where used is light, disclosed and compliantly dosed.

Sessions suit lower benches, shorter stays and fuller rests for sensitive users; Classic aufguss offers the functional reference, Competitive aufguss the judged opposite. Löyly, Sauna programme and Sauna rituals/Sauna culture place the style; Sauna etiquette expects punctuality, stillness and leaving quietly if unwell. General heat precautions apply.[3]
